I am a 550 hour Yoga Alliance trained Yoga Teacher.

I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years after attending my first class in Toronto in 1999.

Yoga wasn’t very “popular” back then and so I wasn’t too sure what to expect. What I did experience was profound – a massive shift and release of stress resulting in floods of tears in Savasana. It was beautiful.

Over the following decades through many ups and downs, yoga has been my anchor, my safe space. I am deeply committed to my health and personal growth, and that of my clients. I believe in practicing what I preach and so I have a strong daily practice, and am always supported by my teachers through ongoing trainings.

Living in the present moment, managing stress, moving with ease, without pain, finding quality breath and getting good sleep are my main focuses.

I live by what I teach. Through my life experiences I feel passionate about sharing my knowledge to help others find their balance – on and off the mat. In the last year I have experienced huge loss through the death of my father, step-father and beloved fur-child . I was also diagnosed with an early stage cancer that allowed me insight (expansion does not feel right) into my own mortality and to realize the value of life. Through this journey I have delved into my practice and really seen the power of Yoga and its ability to calm the nervous system, keep the body moving, focus the mind and nourish the body through breath (the list goes on…). I have developed a passion for helping people dealing with stress from work, family, illness and other life issues. My training covers yoga for cancer, Vinyasa, Yoga for Sports and Yin Yoga. I am a trauma informed yoga teacher.

Yoga has helped me find my feet, to ground me and help me find my own inner wisdom resulting in self-nurturing and healing. Yoga, to yoke, or union, is a profound practice that when brought into ones daily life can bring about paradigm shifts and beautiful congruence.

Private sessions

A great way to start your yoga journey is to have an assessment with Claire where she will move through a series of postures checking postural alignment. From there she will set up a weekly practice for you to do daily from home allowing you to build up your confidence in a safe and managed way.

Private sessions will be a tailored to ability and outcome objectives.

Group classes

Claire offers group classes in studio, outdoors and on Zoom. Whether you are new to yoga or an established practitioner, you will feel welcome and at ease. The classes are designed to accommodate all levels. Check the online schedule here.
