What makes this Apple Cider Vinegar drink so delicious and healthy?
Raw Apple Cider Vinegar is a fermented liquid made from crushed apples, bacteria and yeast. It is rich in protein and enzymes that can help break down bacteria in food. Raw apple cider vinegar can increase stomach acid levels because its acidic properties introduce more acid into the digestive tract. Other than increasing stomach acid levels, raw apple cider vinegar has been associated with reducing symptoms from acid reflux, diabetes and high blood sugar.
What you will need:
- Apple Cider – organic with the mother
- Honey – preferably local and from a reputable source
- Ginger (can be powdered)
- Cinnamon
- Lemon or Lime
- Cayenne Pepper
- Boiled water / distilled water
- Glass Jar
* Add 3 table spoons apple cider, juice from a lemon, a pinch of ginger, cinnamon and cayenne pepper, honey to taste. You can juice the ginger and an apple to make into more of a juice but I keep it simple using ground spices. Add all ingredients to a glass jar and fill it with boiling water or distilled water. Put the jar in the fridge overnight and enjoy cold and shaken in the morning. I make 3 jars at a time so that I always have a delicious drink ready when I wake up.
